What's up everybody! For those that haven't quite figured this out yet, this is going to be the official "Baby Goose" blog. I thought with everybody living so far away, and with everyone being so busy, it might be nice to have a place where you can check in on the progress of our unborn temper tantrum and his/her effects on Nicole and me. I've actually been wanting to do this for a while now, but I'm just now finding the time... which is interesting, because my life used to be filled with so much free time. And I'm quite certain that 5 years from now I will look back and wonder how I found the time to start a blog...
So, for those curious as to where the name "Baby Goose" came from, I will elaborate. The greatness that is my niece and nephew (Molly and Jackson McCormack) started calling our baby "Baby Goose" so that when it is born, and in the event a game of duck-duck-goose breaks out, well, our baby will be the one chasing them. So the name has stuck. And every night Molly prays for little Baby Goose... among 2 other distinguished people ("Papa" aka my dad and me). And incase Nicole is wondering... yes, this classifies as a "scoreboard" to you. Don't fret babe... you'll get into Molly's prayer before too much longer.
The picture I've posted here is actually of the 2nd sonogram Nicole had. It's a beautiful picture of Baby Goose kicking back for a little seista. This picture, while actually the second sonogram, is the picture I will always see when I think of our child. Such peace in there. Such bliss. Enjoy the ride Goose. To everybody else... thanks for stopping by. I'll try to keep this thing updated as often as I can.

I hadn't seen that sonogram - enjoy Boby Goose while he is still - I'm sure that will change!!! And for the record - I'm not in Molly's prayers yet either!
I am so excited to see that sweet sonogram of baby goose's siesta. today, molly actually called baby goose on our cell phone. i hope baby goose has stopped making nicole sick. i cannot wait to welcome that sweet baby!
if it's a boy you can name him GOOSE-TAVO
While an heir to the Bain name is inevitable, I'm thinking that this little one could very well be a girl! After call, I used the Mother's Curse on Nicole a least a hundred times. You know the one: "I hope some day you have a baby JUST LIKE YOU!"
Since it looks like it's here to stay, I think Cody and Nicole should go ahead and make it official. Goose Bain. Can you just see it? Ladies and Gentlemen, from the fine state of Texas, I give you 2028's Miss America -- Goose Bain. Or how about: My fellow Americans, the President of the United States, Goose Bain. Or even: and the winner of the Open, 16 year old femme phenom Goose Bain. And then there's: Parents, educators and administrators and fellow graduates, the Winner of the 2025 full ride scholarship to MIT, head cheerleader, class validictorian, and best dressed GOOSE BAIN.
Now I don't want to hurt anybody's feelings, but I'm just going to have to step on all of ya'lls toes. With that little ol' baby lazed back with her feet propped up like that -- why she looks just like her Granny Mamasita Popita Lolita! And time will tell if that baby has Texas Chili running in her veins or if her little heart is pumping swamp water! Either way, this one should be a real kick in the pants.
So is it poor taste to comment on your own baby's blog?
go goose! please keep in mind that the favorite punchline to my kids jokes is cat poop...so all things considered...goose isn't so bad.
looking forward to checking out the blog...
